Tracy Stroder was raised in rural Oklahoma and studied fine art at the Kansas City Art Institute and Eastern Illinois University. Since relocating to San Francisco from Chicago in 1995, Tracy has focused her work on exploring her environment via her travels to Europe and Mexico or, more often or not, the neighborhoods of her adopted city of San Francisco. Tracy views her art as a visual diary of her experiences.
